Chrestomathy

From Wikipedia, a chrestomathy is: "a collection of choice literary passages, used especially as an aid in learning a foreign language."

I came across the term when looking up some code in Rosetta Code. A very apt description.

Aptronym

A person's name that also describes the job that they do, for example, a person with the surname Baker that is also a baker.

The word is a play on the word patronym - which describes a name derived from one's father (as in a surname).

Post hoc ergo propter hoc

Latin for "After this, therefore because of this". A logical fallacy where event B follows after event A so event A is assumed to have caused event B. Wikipedia
